CARF is providing a free suicide prevention training for home care staff!
Please see below a message from CARF International:

CARF is a proud sponsor of the "Equip Ourselves to Save a Life" initiative to provide participants with tools to help if someone they know is having a mental health crisis. The two-hour training is open to all and free to attend and watch on Saturday, April 6 at 9:00-11:00 a.m. EST and again at 9:00-11:00 a.m. PST.

NGBN-TV is offering the initiative, a pivotal program aimed at training 100,000 individuals in suicide prevention strategies, in one day. This initiative is a significant step toward reducing the incidence of suicide among middle-aged men, a group that continues to see rising suicide rates.

The free training session will broadcast live on April 6 and be guided by suicide prevention expert Craig Hannum. It will be available on all NGBN-TV platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, mobile devices, and its social media channels.

"The "Equip Ourselves to Save a Life" initiative is a public vigilance effort that will have significant impact at an individual, healthcare field, and societal level to focus attention on the issue, reduce stigma, and raise awareness that suicides are preventable," said CARF International President/CEO Brian J. Boon, Ph.D. "CARF proudly supports education and training for all persons on what to do when someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis."

Register today at ngbn.tv/savealife . Information about the program's objectives and detailed agenda are available on the website. Please share this training opportunity with your staff, persons served, and through your social media outlets.

Join NGBN-TV and CARF International in this crucial effort to enhance mental health awareness and suicide prevention capabilities. Your involvement can contribute to a broader understanding and a stronger, more supportive community.

If you are interested in joining and have any follow up questions do not hesitate to contact administration at hr@abphomecare.com.
